ENC Access Sites
The Regional Alliance is working to establish ENC Access sites in each state and island in the region. An Access site is a place where educators can find math and science curriculum and resources and learn how to take advantage of the many services provided by the Eisenhower National Clearinghouse. Each site has one or more multimedia workstations, software, an Internet connection, and staff to demonstrate ENC online services. There are now three sites in the region:
The Computer Museum, Boston, MA
Teachers gain free admission to the museum, which
includes a software evaluation gallery, and an Internet
gallery. The computer clubhouse is free and open to
any student after school. For questions about the
museum's professional development series contact
Marilyn Gardner, Education Director, (617) 426-2800
Plymouth State College, Plymouth, NH
The college is committed to helping current and future teachers integrate technology into curriculum. Mark Turski, a professor at the college and a New Hampshire Statewide Action Team member, provides introductory and advanced Internet workshops to teachers. To visit the site and access on-line resources, contact Mark at (603) 535-2749.

Science Adventures
Science Adventures is a new online directory of places
you can go to experience science. It includes science
centers, discovery museums, nature centers, aquariums
and planetariums. You can search the directory by
organization, city, state, zipcode or keyword. Entries
include exhibit descriptions and special program
information. The directory was developed by the
Eisenhower Regional Consortia. The Regional Alliance
is preparing a regional directory that will be available
in print form in Fall, 1997.
